- Maintain consistency and internal equity across a broad range of positions
- Manage a high volume of files with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Work closely with the Compensation, Benefits and HRIS team on related projects
- Over time, support classification work for non-union positions
What You Bring
- Experience in job evaluation and classification within a unionized, public sector environment
- Proven ability to write class specifications from the ground up
- Working knowledge of collective agreements and how they shape classification decisions
- Municipal or local government experience is a strong asset
- A detail-oriented, analytical approach and comfort working within a defined framework
- Strong written communication skills
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field
What’s on Offer
- A stable, permanent full-time role with a respected public sector employer
- Defined benefit pension plan
- Generous vacation, plus additional time off with service
- Comprehensive benefits package and annual performance bonus
- Option to work a compressed 4-day work week once settled into the role
