Office Coordinator - Construction
Delta (Tilbury), BC | Full-time | In-office
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 per year based on experience, plus performance incentives and benefits
Run the office. Build better systems. Help Lore grow.
Lore Electric is looking for an experienced Office Coordinator who can take ownership of our day-to-day administration and help improve how our business runs.
You bring strong office administration experience. You enjoy keeping work organized, taking responsibility and following things through. You are also excited by the opportunity to build clear procedures and useful training in Trainual.
About Lore Electric
Lore Electric is an established electrical contractor specializing in multifamily residential and commercial construction across Metro Vancouver.
We have 25 people in the field and two in the office. Our business is built on generations of construction experience, pride in our work and coming through for our clients. We value honest work, respect, attention to detail and continuous improvement.
Our motto is simple: Learn-it, Master-it, Optimize-it.
Your place on the team
You will report directly to the owner and work closely with our project coordinator and field team. With much of our team's focus on construction projects, you will have the independence to organize your day and take the lead on office and systems improvements.
This suits someone who enjoys focused independent work and also likes getting to know the people they support. You will be an important connection between our office and site teams, helping everyone stay informed and supported.
What you will take ownership of
Office administration
· Manage day-to-day office work and follow up with the owner, project team, suppliers and employees.
· Coordinate invoice paperwork, billing documentation and payment follow-ups with our project team
and bookkeeper.
· Review timesheets and prepare payroll information for our bookkeeper.
· Track permits, licences, insurance renewals and key administrative deadlines. Keep company records
and safety documentation organized.
· Coordinate service administration, office supplies and other daily office needs.
Employee support
Coordinate hiring and onboarding, maintain employee records and benefits, and track time off,
apprentice hours and school dates. Help keep company policies current and make sure employees have
the information they need.
Build our company playbook in Trainual
Alongside running the office, you will take the lead in building out our company playbook in Trainual.
Developing these systems is an important part of the position.
You will work with the owner and our crews to turn their knowledge into clear procedures, checklists,
onboarding and training. We want someone who enjoys learning how things work, finding a better way
and building it themselves.
You will have room to bring ideas forward and put them into practice. The opportunity is to create
something useful that our team relies on every day and continues to build on as Lore grows.
What you bring
· Three or more years of hands-on office management or senior administrative experience. Experience in
construction or the trades is an asset but is not required.
· Experience with invoicing, payroll preparation, record-keeping and coordinating work with a
bookkeeper and project team.
· Clear writing, good judgement and the ability to manage deadlines, follow up and handle confidential
information.
· Experience improving processes and confidence learning software. Procore, QuickBooks and Trainual
experience are assets.
HR administration experience is helpful, but strong office administration is the priority. You must be eligible to work in Canada and able to work from our Delta office.
What we offer
· Performance incentives and extended health benefits.
· A strong focus on learning and continuous improvement.
· The opportunity to make the role your own and grow with a stable, established company.
