Role Description The Site Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in North Vancouver, BC, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities on custom home and renovation projects. This role coordinates and supervises site crews, subcontractors, and trades to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to Hasler Homes’ quality standards. The Site Foreman organizes and monitors jobsite logistics, materials, and equipment, conducts regular site inspections, and addresses issues or delays proactively. Daily tasks include guiding carpentry work, reviewing plans and specifications, maintaining site cleanliness, and enforcing safety protocols. The role also requires clear communication with project managers, designers, inspectors, and clients to provide updates, resolve site-related concerns, and support a smooth project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including leading site crews, delegating tasks, and monitoring job progress.
- Candidates should possess hands-on carpentry skills and familiarity with general construction practices in residential and luxury home building.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, trades, inspectors, and clients.
- Candidates should possess experience operating or coordinating the use of heavy equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
- Candidates should possess skills in routine maintenance and upkeep of tools, equipment, and jobsite facilities.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in quality control.
- Previous experience as a site foreman or lead hand in residential construction, particularly custom homes or large renovations, is highly valued.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to North Vancouver jobsites, and eligibility to work in Canada are required.
