Are you looking to do excellent legal work in a collegial environment without unnecessary bureaucracy?

Cobbett & Cotton Law Corporation is one of Burnaby’s longest-established law firms and has served the community since 1954. Our office is conveniently located near Hastings Street and Willingdon Avenue in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood.

We are seeking an associate lawyer to join our established solicitor practice. The successful candidate will have an interest in residential real estate and the opportunity to develop a broader practice based on the candidate’s experience and interests.

The Ideal Candidate Will

be a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia;
have three to five years of post-call experience;
have experience in, or a strong interest in developing, a residential real estate practice;
demonstrate sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage files independently;
work effectively and collaboratively with lawyers, paralegals, and support staff;
possess strong interpersonal and client-service skills; and
demonstrate business acumen and an interest in building client and referral relationships within the community.

What we offer

We Offer

a collegial and supportive work environment;
extended health and dental benefits;
regular firm social events;
opportunities to develop and grow a practice within an established community law firm; and
a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Candidates with complementary experience in corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, or private lending are also encouraged to apply.

Salary range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year

Please email your résumé, in confidence, to mkuhl@cobbett-cotton.com.
