Role: Digital Marketing and Business Instructor
Reports to: Assistant Director, Greystone College Programs
Location: Vancouver, BC
Description:
Greystone College Vancouver is currently seeking casual Digital Marketing instructors for evening classes: Mondays to Thursdays, 5:15pm – 8:45 PST. Reporting to the Director of Programs, Greystone College, the instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction and facilitating student learning following the prescribed curriculum.
Job Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in accordance with established curriculum and schedules.
- Contribute to course material development, program improvement, and lesson planning.
- Provide academic support and timely, constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain course records and complete all teaching-related administrative tasks.
- Communicate effectively with students, management, and administrative staff.
- Stay current in professional expertise and teaching methodologies, and assist new instructors as required.
- Uphold professional conduct and adhere to Greystone College policies and procedures.
- Attend faculty meetings and training sessions.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
- Solid understanding of digital marketing and business concepts, platforms and tools
- Strong public speaking abilities
- Experience teaching or mentoring others
- Experience in learning management system platforms such as Moodle is an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office 365 applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail
- Open to giving and receiving feedback
Education and Experience Required
- Diploma or degree in Digital Marketing or other relevant discipline with minimum of 2 years industry experience in digital and social media marketing/public relations, e-mail marketing and CRM software, content management, e-commerce platforms
- 10 years industry-related experience in the above areas.
- Demonstrated professional development related to the area of instruction.
- Certificate, diploma or post-secondary degree in adult education or minimum 2 years teaching experience is a strong asset.
