Original job description
N.A.S. Construction is looking for irrigation subcontractor in Vancouver, BC. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for commercial and residential projects, including trenching, pipe laying, sprinkler head placement, and controller setup. Daily responsibilities include reading site plans, coordinating with project manager, monitoring system performance, and adjusting irrigation schedules to support efficient water use. The Irrigation Subcontractor will inspect systems for leaks or faults, perform seasonal start-up and winterization, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and local codes. The role also includes tracking materials, documenting work completed, and communicating clearly with site supervisors and clients as needed.
Qualifications
Irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair, including controllers, valves, and piping.
Interpret site plans, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to landscaping and irrigation layouts.
Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving for water flow, pressure, and coverage issues.
Knowledge of safe work practices, local plumbing or irrigation codes, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions, and commitment to quality workmanship.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other subcontractors, and to document work accurate.
