About Us
At our core, we’re one team - but we wear many hats. This role goes beyond routine accounting; you’ll help keep the financial engine running across multiple brands. From Backdrop.com (event marketing and live activations) to Abacus Brands (award-winning games and toys), you’ll play a key role in ensuring our numbers are accurate, timely, and actionable.
It’s a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and details matter. If you thrive on structure, take pride in precision, and enjoy being at the center of how a business operates, you’ll feel right at home here.
About the Role
We're looking for an Order Processing Administrator to support the smooth and accurate processing of customer orders from purchase through delivery.
You'll play an important role in keeping orders organized, ensuring deadlines are met, and coordinating information between our Sales, Design, Purchasing, Production, and Shipping teams.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. As you become more familiar with our business, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the company.
What You'll Do
Order & Operations Management
- Process and maintain inbound online orders accurately and efficiently.
- Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and required information.
- Maintain accurate order details and statuses within our order management systems.
- Monitor customer deadlines and help ensure orders stay on track.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve order issues or missing information.
- Track and update shipping information and delivery confirmations.
- Follow up on outstanding orders, shipments, and deadlines.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales & Customer Support, Purchasing, Design, Production, and Shipping to coordinate orders from start to finish.
- Coordinate artwork submission, approvals, production timelines, and product delivery deadlines.
- Help identify potential issues before they impact customer deadlines.
- Communicate updates and follow up on outstanding action items.
Billing & Administrative Support
- Assist with reviewing and auditing monthly invoices for accuracy.
- Cross-reference billing statements, orders, and shipments.
- Identify discrepancies and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Product & Business Support
- Assist with product sourcing and vendor research.
- Support new product development and research initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
- Take on additional operational projects as the business continues to grow.

We're more interested in how you think, how you work, and how you show up than in having a perfect resume.
The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, accountable, curious, and enjoys solving problems.
You don't need to know our industry when you start - we'll teach you the business.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset.
- Experience with order management, inventory, shipping, or e-commerce platforms is an asset.
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
Most importantly, you're someone who:
- Has a positive, proactive, "can-do" attitude.
- Takes ownership and follows through.
- Is naturally curious and enjoys figuring things out.
- Is comfortable asking questions and speaking up when something doesn't look right.
- Can work independently without needing constant direction.
