About The Role
We are a group of forward-thinking professionals committed to a more personal and passionate way of practicing law. Our high-growth business is recognized for its expertise and for rethinking the delivery of legal services. Life is short, and we spend a lot of time at work, which is why we think it’s important to like where you work and the people you work with. We work hard to achieve the best results for our clients while maintaining our kick-ass culture. We welcome folks who don’t necessarily fit the traditional law firm mold; we believe diverse personalities help create a richer, more experienced, and more exciting workplace.
We call our legal assistants “Practice Managers” to signal the elevated level of ownership they take in supporting the team’s success. Our Practice Managers are deeply integrated into our legal files, helping to coordinate the bigger picture and support client care by participating in client meetings, transaction calls, and logistics planning with internal teams. Our Practice Managers have a full seat at the table, and we wouldn’t have it (or survive) any other way.
This is a hybrid Practice Manager and executive support role that combines legal administrative responsibilities with proactive, high-level support for lawyers in the Indigenous Law Group in our Vancouver office. You will manage competing priorities, anticipate needs, coordinate complex schedules and communications, and work independently to keep both day-to-day activities and broader team initiatives moving forward. You’ll become an integral member of a team doing work with Indigenous organizations on the cutting edge of reconciliation. This is an exciting role which heavily relies on creating and maintaining valued client relationships.
While the firm is generally supportive of hybrid remote work, some in-office needs come up from time to time that will require you to attend the office outside of your hybrid schedule.
About You

Education + Experience
Ideally, you have experience providing executive-level support in a legal environment, whether in corporate law, litigation, or another practice area. You may also be a graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant program with 5+ years of experience in a Legal Administrative Assistant role and demonstrated experience managing calendars, communications, priorities, and confidential matters for senior professionals.
Experience serving Indigenous clients or matters and a background in corporate work are strongly preferred. Strong judgment, initiative, organization, ability to work independently and written and verbal communication skills are essential to success in this role.
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is CAD $75,000 to $90,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as market rates, job-related skills, relevant experience, and education and/or training. Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program, 100% employer paid benefits and various other perks offered by the firm.
