Summary:
The Cashier team member works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers. This position requires delivering friendly and courteous service while processing customer purchases efficiently and correctly. This role involves the operation of a computerized cash register.
Cashier/Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Greet, assist, and thank customers – provide professional service
- Highly approachable, customer-oriented individual who thrives in offering exceptional service to customers
- Operate cash register and maintain cash area cleanliness
- Accurately verify merchandise quantities, descriptions and price
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Alert management to security problems
- Follow company, store and department policies
- Follow health and safety program provided
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Maintain composure and work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to remain productive in slower times
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic math skills
- Be able to stand/walk to up to 8 hrs
- Able to lift 20 lbs
